KAM Kitchen at Kampung Cheras Baru

Kam Kitchen has always been a restaurant i wanted to try~ Perhaps their name in Chinese has attracted me as it sounds like a Chief Chef who used to work in 5 stars Restaurant had enough and come out to run a restaurant on his own.

The thought of visiting has been in my mind for more than 9 months before i finally pay a visit to them.

The Shark Fins soup (盅仔翅) selling at RM 12 tasted heavily. I am that kind that like to put vinegar in it but frankly speaking, this soup tastes better without vinegar. Perhaps next time i should try XO instead~

Ever since i have tasted the Sweet and Sour Pork (咕噜肉) in HangZhou i have been craving for it again. I felt sorry for Restaurants in Malaysia as i failed to find any Sweet and Sour Pork which is on par with the one at HangZhou. This 1 tasted ok and at least it's not those mixed rice type of Sweet and sour pork. Crispy and Juicy enough but the gravy is a bit too sweet for me. Tomate lover will like this a lot.

Pork Ribs cooked with Fruit Juice (果汁骨) is pretty good though. I think the way the meat tasted is best suits with Salted Eggs. So next time i will try to order Pork Ribs cooked with Salted Eggs instead of Fruit Juice.

I saw a big signboard advertising on the river fishes from Kemaman so i decided to give their Steamed Fish a try. It turns out to be the best dish of the night and their steam fish is good~ The meat of the fish is well done but not overcooked. Anyhow i think the gravy is full with MSG because i have to drink a lot of water everytime i eat the fish with gravy.

All 4 dishes above cost around RM 80 and i would think the price is fair. Like Steamed Fish? Then i think you should pay Kam Kitchen a visit and it should worth the travel.
